National Advisory Board
The Advisory Board informs decisions about the strategic direction of DAN and provides advice to the Management Committee. To ensure the accountability of DAN’s finances, the Board reviews financial reports prepared by the treasurer of the DAN Committee.

Management Committee
Decisions regarding the strategic direction, operations and activities of the organisation are determined by the Management Committee after considering the recommendations of DAN members the Advisory Board.

Secretariat
The Secretariat is made up of a small number of part time staff in both Melbourne and Sydney.

Working Groups
DAN activities are supported by the secretariat, but primarily carried out by DAN volunteer members in the four Working Groups below:

- Research, Advocacy and Policy
- Public Awareness
- Multaga Darfur (Community Engagement)
- Organisational Development and Support
